Mexican senators request leaves of absence from Senate duties

Several Mexican senators have requested temporary leaves of absence from their legislative duties. Virginia Magaña Fonseca, representing Guanajuato for the Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM), requested a two-day leave to attend to party obligations related to the upcoming electoral process in Guanajuato. Her substitute, Fraisel Capetillo, will cover her duties.

Additionally, Cecilia Guadalupe Guadiana Mandujano, a senator from Coahuila representing Morena, requested a leave of absence for September 29 and 30. These absences occur as the Senate continues to deliberate on significant national matters, including reforms to the Federal Penal Code and the Federal Law for the Protection of Industrial Property, as well as constitutional proposals regarding nationality.
