Mexican state governors inaugurate new school infrastructure

State governments in Mexico have inaugurated new educational infrastructure projects to benefit students in Quintana Roo and Oaxaca.

In Cancún, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa inaugurated a new 510-square-meter dome at the “8 de Octubre” Technical Secondary School No. 16. The facility includes a basketball court, LED lighting, a rainwater drainage system, and equipment for volleyball. This project is part of a larger strategic initiative by the state government to construct 1,109 domes across Quintana Roo to improve academic and sporting environments.

In the Costa region of Oaxaca, Governor Salomón Jara Cruz delivered a new roofed area for Technical Secondary School No. 182 in Barra Copalita. The project, managed by the Instituto Oaxaqueño Constructor de Infraestructura Educativa (Iocied), cost over 3 million pesos. The 660.74-square-meter structure features galvanized sheet roofing and LED lighting, benefiting more than 90 students.
