Mexican states advance local infrastructure, improving roads in Veracruz and water supply in Tamaulipas

In the municipality of Tlacolulan, Veracruz, officials completed a road rehabilitation that connects four rural localities. Backed by Governor Rocío Nahle García and local deputy Esteban Bautista Hernández, the project cuts travel time from up to four hours to about 20‑30 minutes and is expected to benefit more than a thousand residents, who will have faster access to markets, medical services and schools.

In Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, the municipal government began a 2,600‑meter rehabilitation of the potable‑water network in the Vamos Tamaulipas neighborhood. Mayor Eduardo Gattás Báez said the work will improve water pressure and reliability for roughly 11,320 households, with the project to be complemented next year by the state governor’s second aqueduct line.

Both projects are part of broader efforts by regional authorities to address long‑standing infrastructure deficiencies and enhance basic services for local communities.
