Mexican states allocate over 2.7 bn pesos to road and bridge projects

Guerrero Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda reported that more than 2,699 million pesos have been spent on 469 road‑related works since the start of her administration. The projects include paving rural roads in Puerto del Gallo and Toro Muerto, rehabilitating 940 km of paved highways, conserving nearly 3,000 km of rural routes, and constructing 42 new bridges while refurbishing ten others.

In Chiapas, Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar inaugurated the Abraham González‑Pino Suárez road (10.7 million pesos) and announced over 48 million pesos for comprehensive road and bridge reconstruction. He outlined a plan to rehabilitate 2,000 km of roads, delivered a new public park in Escuintla (7.4 million pesos) for 1,150 residents, expanded a local IMSS health unit, and opened women's support centers in three municipalities.
