Mexican states implement new social equality and inclusion initiatives
Mexican states Coahuila and Tamaulipas are implementing new collaborative measures to promote social equality and prevent discrimination.
In Coahuila, the Secretariat of Inclusion and Social Development signed a collaboration agreement with the State Council of Science and Technology. The partnership aims to develop joint projects and activities to foster a more inclusive society. Officials noted that Coahuila currently holds high national rankings for low deficiencies in access to social security, housing quality, and basic services.
In Tamaulipas, the State System for the Integral Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA) held a session of the Substantive Equality Commission. The initiative focuses on strengthening inter-institutional coordination to ensure public policies guarantee equal, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environments for children and adolescents. The commission works to incorporate a rights-based approach into public actions to improve the living conditions of minors.
