Mexican States Launch New Child Protection Initiatives and Legal Reforms

In the State of Mexico, officials organized the first "Parliament of the Childhood," gathering children from eight municipalities to propose legislation aimed at eradicating child labor. The event, held on International Day for the Eradication of Child Labour, produced draft bills that will be submitted to the state congress, highlighting the role of youth in shaping public policy.

Meanwhile, the Congress of Sinaloa approved a package of reforms intended to promote a culture of peace and prevent the promotion of criminal activities in public spaces. The measures target schools, municipal buildings, and public transport, mandating authorities to block content that glorifies crime and to reinforce legal and civic education for children and adolescents.
