Tamaulipas Government Boosts Livestock Health with 16 Million‑Peso Support

The Secretariat of Rural Development, Fisheries and Aquaculture in Tamaulipas delivered animal‑health and productivity packages to livestock producers in the municipality of Güémez. The distribution, overseen by Subsecretary of Livestock and Forestry Cuauhtémoc Amaya García, provided nutritional supplements, minerals, dewormers, vitamins, vaccines and medical kits.

Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya has allocated 16 million pesos to strengthen the Extensionism Pecuario program and Technological Packages, which offer technical assistance from veterinarians to groups of about 30 producers. The initiative aims to improve herd health, increase productivity and make cattle farming more sustainable and competitive in the state.

The program is part of the current administration’s broader effort, led by Secretary Antonio Varela Flores, to modernize the agricultural sector and support small‑scale producers in Tamaulipas.
