Mexican striker Julián Quiñones welcomed as hero by Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia
After scoring four goals for the Mexico national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, forward Julián Quiñones returned to Saudi Arabia to re‑join Al Qadsiah. He was greeted at King Fahd International Airport by a large, chanting crowd, flags and club officials, who hailed him as a hero and “La Pantera.”
Quiñones had finished the previous Saudi Pro League season as the top scorer with 33 goals, edging out rivals such as Ivan Toney. The club celebrated his return on social media and expressed hopes that he will help secure a second scoring title and the team’s first league or cup trophy in the 2026/27 season.
