Mexican students and teachers participate in international academic exchanges
Educational mobility programs in Mexico are facilitating international academic experiences for students and teachers from Yucatán and Coahuila.
In Yucatán, 110 students and 10 teachers recently completed an eight-week international mobility program in Canada and Ireland. Supported by the state government, the program focused on strengthening STEM competencies and English language skills. Beneficiaries received 100% scholarships covering transportation, lodging, and specialized training. Participants represented 32 different municipalities, including rural areas.
In Coahuila, normalista students are preparing for academic stays and professional practices in Spain, Canada, and Argentina. The initiative includes 22 students traveling to the University of Murcia in Spain to conduct comparative analyses of educational systems, 18 students heading to Toronto, Canada, for academic stays, and four students traveling to the University of Rosario in Argentina. These programs aim to enhance teaching training and provide English language certifications for future educators.
