Mexican theater expands with new productions at Foro Lucerna

New theatrical productions are arriving at the Foro Lucerna in Mexico. The play ‘A-Marte’, directed by Leticia Amezcua and produced by Metro Medio Producciones, premiered on August 9. The story follows George, a science fiction writer navigating grief and the complexities of adoptive fatherhood after the loss of his wife.

Additionally, Península Films, led by producers Eduardo and Gabriel Díaz Casanova, is expanding into performing arts with the play ‘No Fue Penal’. Written by renowned author Juan Villoro and directed by Antonio Castro, the production uses a football match and VAR controversy as a backdrop to explore themes of friendship, loyalty, and past grievances. The play features actors Martín Altomaro and José María de Tavira.
