Mexican Municipalities Distribute Food Aid to Seniors

In Lerma, Mexico, more than 2,000 elderly residents received food parcels and activity vests through the municipal Programa Vida Plena. The distribution took place at Plaza Juárez and was highlighted by municipal president Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ponce and DIF Lerma officials, who emphasized the program’s aim to improve seniors’ quality of life.

In Chihuahua's capital, the municipal DIF announced delivery schedules for the Programa Alimentario del Adulto Mayor (PAAM) for the week of 15‑19 June. Beneficiaries must present their program ID cards at designated community centers, including Ranchería Juárez, Lealtad I & II, Desarrollo Urbano, Santa Rosa, CEDEFAM Mármol III, and Vistas Cerro Grande, to receive free food assistance.

Both initiatives illustrate local governments’ efforts to provide targeted nutritional support and social services to older adults across Mexican municipalities.
