Mexican towns launch free youth summer activity programs

The municipal Institute of Youth in Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, began the "Ruta de la Juventud" on July 13, offering free workshops and recreational events such as painting, board games, a jumping class, basketball and a mobile cinema for young people and families across the town’s communities.

In Aguascalientes, the State Sports Institute is running "Verano de Campeones" from July 20 to August 21. The program provides more than 20 sports, artistic and educational activities each weekday for children ages 4‑14, held at several venues including the Ciudad Deportiva and the Olympic Gymnasium. Registration costs 2,500 MXN per participant.

Both initiatives aim to promote healthy habits, social interaction and skill development among local youth during the summer vacation period.
