Mexican towns launch major road paving upgrades

In Yautepec, Morelos, municipal authorities led by Mayor Eder Alonso Gutiérrez inaugurated a comprehensive rehabilitation of the main street in the San Juan barrio. The project installed 10,500 m² of hydraulic concrete pavement, constructed 4,000 m² of new sidewalks, replaced 2,000 m of water‑distribution pipes and 2,000 m of sanitary drainage, and reinstated more than 200 household water connections.

In Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mayor Israel Mosqueda Gasca opened three newly paved streets—Pedro González in Malpaís, Morelos and Aztecas in Magdalena de Araceo, and Aguascalientes in the 20 de Noviembre colonia. The 1.09 km of work, funded with 18.5 million pesos, included concrete surfacing, upgraded drainage, water networks, sidewalks and street lighting, benefiting dozens of families, connecting communities and supporting local tourism.
