Mexican towns launch new health clinic and construction projects

In the municipality of Metepec, State of Mexico, mayor Fernando Flores inaugurated a modern medical clinic in the community of San Jorge Pueblo Nuevo. The facility, located in the Alejandro Gómez Vázquez community center, was equipped by Universidad IUEM together with the DIF Metepec and offers free pharmacy services, medical consultations and the participation of health‑science students in community work.

In Teotitlán de Flores Magón, Oaxaca, mayor Genaro Leonardo Sosa Sánchez commenced a series of construction works scheduled for the 2026 fiscal year. He pledged that the projects will quickly provide collective benefits, stating, “En un corto tiempo estaremos acudiendo nuevamente para inaugurar los trabajos que sin temor a equivocarme dejarán un beneficio colectivo.” The mayor emphasized ongoing dialogue with residents and aims to improve local services and infrastructure.
