Mexican towns launch road and bridge upgrades

The municipal governments of Almoloya de Juárez in the State of Mexico and Zapotlán el Grande in Jalisco have begun a series of public‑works projects aimed at improving local transportation infrastructure. In Almoloya de Juárez, Mayor Adolfo Solís Gómez inaugurated the rehabilitation of several rural roads and the widening of a vehicular bridge on the Toluca‑Villa Victoria corridor, including river‑bank cleaning, new metal structures and retaining walls. Meanwhile, Zapotlán el Grande’s administration, led by President Magali Casillas Contreras, announced the second phase of a new municipal cemetery, the construction of the Galeana bridge, and the resurfacing of 12 streets in the Providencia and Esquipulas neighborhoods, with contracts to be signed on 8 July and additional pothole‑repair work ongoing.

Both initiatives are presented as priority actions to enhance mobility, safety and the quality of public spaces for thousands of local residents.
