San Luis Potosí authorities detain rape suspect and charge another with infant kidnapping

The Fiscalía General del Estado de San Luis Potosí (FGESLP) executed two separate judicial actions. In Xilitla, investigators arrested Román N. on a warrant for aggravated rape after evidence linked him to sexual assaults on his former partner in June 2021. He was presented to a control judge for further proceedings.

In the Media region, a separate case resulted in José N. being formally charged with infant kidnapping and aggravated rape. Prosecutors said he allegedly deceived a teenager, moved her without parental consent, and then assaulted her sexually. A judge ordered his preventive imprisonment and set a three‑month deadline to complete the complementary investigation.
