Mexican universities announce new student orientation and bimodal learning initiatives

The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) launched its "Conoce tu Universidad" welcome talks for incoming students of the 2026‑2 academic cycle. Rector Silvia Amaya Llano presented the university’s educational model and highlighted programs that promote gender‑based violence prevention, equality, peace culture, scholarships, mobility, sports, and health services.

The Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS) is finalising preparations for the Bimodalidad 50/50 project for the 2026‑2027 cycle. More than 660 faculty members have completed intensive training to create digital classrooms that blend online and face‑to‑face instruction. The initiative, coordinated by the Centre for Innovation and Educational Development, targets selected courses while preserving in‑person formats for practical subjects, aligning with the university’s new educational model and national higher‑education directives.
