Mexican universities hold welcome ceremonies for new students

Universities in northern Mexico have held welcome ceremonies to mark the beginning of the new academic cycle.

In Chihuahua, Mayor Marco Bonilla joined Rector Luis Rivera Campos to welcome new students at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH). Bonilla encouraged students to pursue their goals, noting that the university is a decisive stage for their future development. The event included a university festival featuring cultural and sporting clubs.

In Coahuila, the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UAdeC) held a traditional march for new students at the Laguna Unit, concluding at the Torreón campus. Rector Octavio Pimentel Martínez led the reception, which included students from 21 different schools and faculties. Pimentel Martínez urged students to engage actively with the university community and make the most of the academic and cultural opportunities available.
