Mexican universities host new art and design exhibitions
Two Mexican universities have inaugurated new art and design exhibitions. The Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila (UA de C) presented “Luz, cuerpo y fluido. Estudios formales/Gramática de la forma” by Dr. Elizabeth Castrellón Castro. This pedagogical exhibition focuses on realistic painting, exploring how artists interpret the world through sensitivity, memory, and emotion using portraits, family scenes, and natural elements.
Meanwhile, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) opened “Logos de México: Setenta Años de Marcas.” Created by Gilberto Malagón Díaz, the exhibition researches and restores visual identifiers to showcase seven decades of Mexican graphic design history. The event marks the 20th anniversary of UABC’s design programs and the 57th anniversary of its Faculty of Architecture and Design.
