Mexican universities team with state agencies on student transport and archive projects

In Quintana Roo, the Institute of Mobility of the State of Quintana Roo (IMOVEQROO) and the Universidad Tecnológica de Tulum signed a collaboration agreement that will see new vans begin operating in August to shuttle students to the campus. The partnership aims to involve students in transport, road safety and urban‑planning projects, with the institute’s director Rafael Hernández Kotasek stating, “We want young people not only to be users of the mobility system but protagonists of its transformation.”

In Tamaulipas, the Universidad Tecnológica de Tamaulipas Norte organized a field visit for industrial‑engineering students to the Municipal Archive of Reynosa. Rector Tadeo Luebbert Iberri highlighted that the experience allowed students to observe document‑management processes, emphasizing the importance of practical training aligned with state education policies.

Both initiatives reflect a broader effort by Mexican state agencies and higher‑education institutions to give students hands‑on experience in public‑sector operations.
