Mexican university transport initiatives gain safety training and academic partnership

Operators of the Potrobús university bus system at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México received a four‑module training program on substantive equality, gender‑based violence prevention and respect for diversity. The course, organized by the university’s Secretariat of Substantive Equality and Care, aims to help staff protect the safety of the more than 1.7 million annual passengers across 16 routes in the Toluca Valley and surrounding regions.

The Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) and the Instituto Mexicano del Transporte (IMT) signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen academic training, research projects and professional practicum opportunities for transport‑sector students. The pact will facilitate joint courses, workshops, internships, research initiatives and participation in conferences, enhancing specialist formation and social‑impact projects in Mexico’s transport field.
