Querétaro Labor Secretariat Expands Women’s Training and Job Programs

The State Labor Secretariat of Querétaro, led by Liliana San Martín Castillo, concluded auto‑employment courses for women in repostería and beauty in Huimilpan, aiming to boost economic autonomy. The secretariat is also developing a mobile application, slated for late 2026, to let job seekers browse around 3,500 verified vacancies, with a focus on the aerospace and automotive sectors.

In parallel, the Secretariat graduated 315 participants from a virtual diploma on inclusion and diversity in the workplace, a program that involved 24 Mexican states and partnered with ODK Inteligencia Organizacional. Across Mexico, local groups such as Brigada Mujeres in Oaxaca de Juárez launched a bakery training course for women, and the Red de Mujeres Dulces Coloradas in Hidalgo held a community bakery workshop, both under broader “Aprender para Emprender” and LIBRE initiatives to foster female entrepreneurship. Additionally, the municipality of Oaxaca de Juárez invited women to join a civic choir for national celebrations, while a regional health‑education workshop gathered experts from several states in Querétaro to standardise evaluation of health study programmes.
