Mexican youth lead national savings rates at 59.6%

According to the 2023 National Survey on Financial Health (ENSAFI), young people in Mexico aged 18 to 29 represent the demographic with the highest proportion of savings, with 59.6% reporting some form of savings.

In observance of International Youth Day, Valladolid Caja Financiera noted that while this trend reflects a growing interest in positive financial habits among new generations, there remains a critical need for financial education. The institution emphasized that savings should serve as a tool for personal goals, entrepreneurship, and building wealth.

As a Savings and Loan Cooperative Society (SOCAP) within the Mexican Financial System, Valladolid Caja Financiera promotes a cooperative model focused on mutual aid and democratic participation to strengthen financial inclusion and community development.
