Mexicana de Aviación has received its eighth Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, which arrived at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) from the Embraer factory in Brazil. The aircraft, registered as XA-MXH, features a 108-passenger capacity with a 2+2 seating configuration.
Leobardo Ávila Bojórquez, the airline's director general, stated that this arrival is a significant milestone in the company's recovery and growth process. He noted that the expansion aligns with the strategic vision of the Mexican government. The flight was piloted by Captain Valeria Casas, an event the director highlighted as a demonstration of the professionalism and talent of women in national aviation.
This new addition is part of a larger integration program involving 20 Embraer E2 family aircraft. The airline aims to use the expanded fleet to strengthen domestic connectivity, foster regional development, and support tourism and commerce across Mexico.
