Mexico advances major bridge projects in Lara and Veracruz states
Authorities in the state of Lara successfully carried out a controlled demolition of the north section of the Puente Yacural. The operation, coordinated by the state governorship and the Ministry of Transport, proceeded without incident and cleared the way for debris removal and further civil works to restore traffic between the municipalities of Iribarren and Palavecino.
In Veracruz, the federal Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport announced that the two‑kilometre access bridge to the Port of Veracruz will be completed by the end of July, five months ahead of schedule. The bridge will link the federal Veracruz‑Xalapa highway with the port, reducing travel times for thousands of motorists and freight vehicles and forming part of a larger investment program that includes road reconstruction and additional bridge projects across the state.
