Mexico and France celebrate 200 years of diplomatic ties with commemorative lottery ticket
Mexico’s Lotería Nacional unveiled a special commemorative ticket to mark the bicentennial of diplomatic relations with France. The presentation was led by Foreign Secretary Roberto Velasco, French Ambassador Delphine Borione and Lotería director Olivia Salomón. Velasco said the anniversary is “an invitation to renew a friendship founded on shared values,” while Borione added, “France loves Mexico and this year we celebrate two centuries of relations.”
The ticket, part of Major Draw No. 4023 scheduled for 4 August 2026, depicts iconic French sites such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Notre‑Dame. The draw will offer a top prize of 21 million pesos and a total prize pool of 66 million pesos, with the commemorative ticket distributed nationwide as a symbol of the two nations’ enduring cultural and diplomatic bond.
