USA and Mexico to face off in CONCACAF friendly in Arizona

The United States and Mexico are set to face each other in an international friendly at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The match serves as a significant chapter in the historic CONCACAF rivalry, featuring two national teams currently undergoing technical transitions.

Mauricio Pochettino’s United States squad enters the match following two high-scoring victories, including a 4-2 win over Chile and a 4-1 win against Peru. The American side has demonstrated significant offensive depth, scoring in 10 of their 11 internationals this year.

Mexico, led by Rafael Márquez, arrives following a series of draws, including 1-1 results against both Colombia and Peru. While the Mexican team has remained undefeated in Márquez’s early tenure, they have struggled with consistency and clinical finishing in recent outings. The match is part of the October 2026 FIFA international window.
