Mexico announces major cultural music and photography events

Mexico is hosting several major cultural initiatives. The grand finale of the “México Canta por la paz y contra las adicciones” 2026 competition will take place at the Auditorio Nacional on September 13, 2026. The event features special guests Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga and Majo Aguilar, alongside eight finalists from Mexico and the United States.

Additionally, the sixteenth edition of FOTOSEPTIEMBRE, an international photography festival, is being presented by the Centro de la Imagen in collaboration with the French Embassy in Mexico and the Michoacán Ministry of Culture. Under the theme “Non-human natures,” the festival includes over 230 physical and digital exhibitions. France and Michoacán serve as guests of honor, with participation from photographic communities in Mexico, Colombia, Spain, and Portugal.
