Mexico ASF delivers second set of 2025 public account audit reports

Aureliano Hernández Palacios Cardel, head of the Superior Auditor of the Federation (ASF), has submitted the second delivery of individual audit reports regarding the 2025 Public Account to the ASF Oversight Commission.

Javier Octavio Herrera Borunda, president of the Oversight Commission, emphasized that accountability requires more than just legal formalities. He stated that public officials must explain how funds are used and remain subject to public scrutiny. Herrera Borunda called for a unified state effort to prevent, detect, investigate, and sanction corruption, noting that combating organized corruption requires institutions to work together to follow the money and determine responsibilities.
