Mexico authorities arrest suspect in Andrea Maylin feminicide case

Authorities in Mexico and Puerto Rico have reported several significant criminal developments. In Puebla, Mexican Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch announced the arrest of Ricardo “N”, a suspect in the 2025 feminicide of activist Andrea Maylin Chino Ramos. The victim had previously filed domestic violence reports against the suspect in Morelos before her disappearance and death.

In other regional incidents, three individuals were processed in Tlalnepantla for express kidnapping and bribery during a vehicle theft attempt. In Monterrey, a 23-year-old man was detained for the alleged homicide of a homeless person following a dispute. In Sonora, a 40-year-old man was arrested for the fatal stabbing of a 75-year-old man.

Additionally, the Metepec municipal government removed its director of government from his post following allegations of sexual harassment and abuse of power. In San Juan, Puerto Rico, a 56-year-old man faces charges for the alleged physical abuse of an elderly person that resulted in multiple fractures. Finally, a 61-year-old school employee in Monte Quemado, Argentina, was detained on suspicion of sexual abuse involving a woman with developmental delays.
