Mexico authorities link nine to cargo theft ring and support amnesty petition
The Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico (CODHEM) has supported an amnesty petition for Juan Carlos “N”, citing documented human rights violations and due process failures, including potential torture and inadequate legal defense.
In San Luis Potosí, the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) has linked nine individuals to trial for operating a criminal network specializing in the theft of cargo transport. The group is accused of using signal inhibitors, illegal firearms, and association to target vehicles on Federal Highway 57. Authorities seized various items during raids, including weapons, signal jammers, and stolen merchandise.
Additionally, state commissions have recognized CODHEM’s work in participating in 'Peace Tables' to integrate human rights perspectives into security and justice coordination across the State of Mexico.
