Mexico authorities arrest woman for Tinder-related robbery
Authorities in Puebla, Mexico, have arrested a 34-year-old woman, identified as Ivette N., in connection with an aggravated robbery involving a dating app. The arrest took place in the Lomas de Angelópolis area of San Andrés Cholula following an arrest warrant issued by Mexico City judicial authorities.
The incident began when a man met the suspect through Tinder and arranged to meet at a hotel in the Escandón neighborhood of Mexico City. According to the investigation, the victim consumed a glass of wine and subsequently lost consciousness. Upon waking, the victim discovered that the woman had fled along with his vehicle, cash, cell phone, and other personal belongings.
Hotel surveillance footage reportedly shows the suspect leaving the room with an accomplice. The victim is believed to have been drugged without his knowledge during the encounter.
