Mexico authorizes 7.1 million pesos for Dziuché ejido compensation

The Mexican federal government has authorized 7.1 million pesos to compensate the Dziuché ejido in the municipality of José María Morelos, Quintana Roo. The funds are intended to settle long-standing indemnification claims regarding land affected by the construction of a federal highway.

Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama stated that the payment was secured through coordination with the federal administration, specifically involving President Claudia Sheinbaum, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP). The ejidatarios had been seeking this compensation since 2010.
