Mexico basic education students to receive first school break

Basic education students in Mexico, including those in Baja California Sur, will observe their first school break of the current academic cycle on Friday, September 25. This suspension of classes applies to preschool, primary, and secondary students in both public and private schools incorporated into the National Educational System.

The break is due to the first ordinary session of the School Technical Council (Consejo Técnico Escolar, CTE) mandated by the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP). While students are off, teaching and administrative staff will attend the school sites to conduct professional work sessions focused on pedagogical analysis, academic progress evaluation, and instructional planning.

Classes for all shifts are scheduled to resume on Monday, September 28. These monthly CTE sessions are normative meetings designed to develop teaching methodologies and follow up on institutional planning.
