Mexico launches Bienestar card distribution for senior pension beneficiaries

The Secretaría de Bienestar announced that from 15 to 21 June 2026 it will distribute Bienestar Bank cards to adults‑over‑65 and women aged 60‑64 who registered for the pension programs in April. Recipients will receive an SMS with the date, time and location for pickup and must present a registration receipt and an official ID. They can also verify their appointment using their CURP on the ministry’s website.

The rollout targets millions of beneficiaries; the program now serves 42.86 million people with an annual budget exceeding one trillion pesos. Leticia Ramírez Amaya, the secretary, said, “In the second floor of the Fourth Transformation commitments are fulfilled, reinforcing the Bienestar pensions.”
