Mexico Bienestar programs update disbursements and registrations

Various Mexican social welfare programs are undergoing updates, disbursements, and new registration periods for September 2026.

In the Bienestar pension system, resource dispersion continues in a staggered manner based on the first letter of beneficiaries' surnames. For the September-October period, payments for seniors, people with disabilities, and women are being distributed through Bienestar cards.

New registration opportunities have opened for several programs. The Beca Benito Juárez is accepting online registrations for high school students through September 30, while the Beca Universal Rita Cetina is available for students in kindergarten through secondary school. Additionally, the Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro program has begun distributing Bienestar cards to new apprentices who started training in September, providing them with monthly economic support and medical insurance.

In a separate regional initiative, the Secretaría de Desarrollo Humano y Bien Común (SDHyBC) allocated 632,000 pesos to provide economic stimuli to 79 caregivers of children whose parents are incarcerated, benefiting 162 minors with support for food, education, and upbringing.
