Mexico and Entre Ríos approve 2027 fiscal budgets and revenue laws

The Mexican Chamber of Deputies has approved the 2027 Federal Revenue Law, projecting total revenues of approximately 10.6 trillion pesos. Of this amount, roughly 6.26 trillion pesos are expected to be generated through taxes. The law authorizes a net internal debt ceiling of 1.7 trillion pesos and external debt of up to 13.5 billion dollars. A notable modification introduced by Ricardo Monreal expands the Fiscal Regularization Program by removing the 300 million peso income limit, allowing large taxpayers to access incentives for settling tax debts by paying principal amounts in full while receiving reductions on fines and surcharges.

In Argentina, the government of Entre Ríos has submitted its 2027 provincial budget, totaling 8.67 trillion pesos. The proposal emphasizes fiscal discipline and aims to increase capital investment by 77.3%, with a significant portion of these funds directed toward road infrastructure. The budget also prioritizes essential services including education, health, and security.
