Mexico Chamber of Deputies reviews 2027 revenue and debt projections

The Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies is reviewing federal revenue drafts for 2027, which include a projected internal debt of up to 1.7 trillion pesos and external financing of 13.5 billion dollars. The proposed Revenue Law projects a total collection of approximately 10.6 trillion pesos, with the majority derived from taxes such as ISR, IVA, and IEPS.

Macroeconomic projections within the proposal suggest economic growth between 1.5% and 2.5%, an average exchange rate of 17.9 pesos per dollar, and an oil price of 61.8 dollars per barrel. Fiscal modifications include expanding the Simplified Trust Regime (Resico) by increasing annual income limits for individuals and legal entities.

Separately, data highlights Mexico's significant role in international trade, noting that federal revenues from international commerce reached over 8.5 trillion pesos. The country maintains a high contribution to GDP through exports and imports, with non-oil exports showing substantial annual growth, particularly in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
