Mexico City arrests Virginia N and daughter over alleged Del Valle property seizure

Police from the Mexico City Investigation Police detained Virginia N and her daughter Diana N at a restaurant in the Cuauhtémoc borough while they were accompanied by several lawyers. The operation, captured on video by journalist Carlos Jiménez, was carried out after a judicial arrest warrant was issued.

Both women are being investigated for their alleged role in the illegal takeover of a house located at Cerrada de Matías Romero, colonia Del Valle. The Fiscalía General de Justicia de la Ciudad de México says the case is part of a broader probe into possible property seizures in the area, which has seen 30 investigation files opened this year. After their arrest, the pair were transferred to the Santa Martha Acatitla women's prison and placed before a control judge.

The investigation cites witness statements, video recordings, inspections and forensic reports, including a locksmith analysis, as evidence of the suspected fraud.
