Mexico City authorities face separate criminal cases in Mexico

In Mexico City, two women identified as Melani “N” and Samantha “N,” allegedly members of the “Los Olmos Fragoso” criminal group, face new charges for residential robbery. The prosecution alleges the pair entered a condominium in the Iztacalco borough on April 30, 2026, while an accomplice distracted security. They reportedly stole jewelry valued at 150,000 pesos and 50,000 pesos in cash. The women, who were already in custody at the Santa Martha Acatitla women's prison for other offenses, were identified through surveillance footage. A judge has linked them to the process for aggravated robbery.

Separately, in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, authorities arrested two women, María Agustina “N” and Elena de los Ángeles “N,” for alleged drug trafficking. During an investigation in the Colosio neighborhood, police seized substances suspected to be marijuana and methamphetamine. Preliminary investigations suggest the women may have been selling drugs independently in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos.
