Mexico City Closes Two Viaducto Sections Saturday for New Pedestrian Bridges

On Saturday, July 4, the Mexico City Coordination General of Road Safety will close two sections of the Viaducto Mártires del 68 to install pedestrian bridges. The first closure runs from Begonias to Azucenas and the second from Del 57 to 15 de Septiembre, each lasting from 08:00 to 15:00.

Motorists are advised to use the suggested detours: north‑south traffic on the Azucenas bridge should divert via Zinc Street to Begonias, while south‑north traffic on the same bridge should follow Begonias to Zinc. For the Mártires del 68 bridge, north‑south traffic will be rerouted through Francisco Sarabia to Oro, and south‑north traffic via Álvaro Obregón toward the west and east. The work aims to improve road culture by reducing incidents and promoting pedestrian safety.
