Mexico City Congress resolves worker camp protest through dialogue

A protest camp established by various worker organizations in front of the Mexico City Congress has been dismantled following an intervention by Olivia Garza de los Santos, President of the Congress Board of Directors. The removal follows the establishment of a formal dialogue route to address the protesters' demands.

Representatives from the General Assembly of Workers, the Mexico City Metro Workers Union, the 'Todos Caben' Workers Group, and workers from the Secretariat of Integral Water Management (SEGIAGUA) are scheduled to hold meetings with the legislative commissions for Labor and Human Rights, as well as with the Secretary of Government, César Cravioto Romero. The agreement to move discussions to institutional worktables aims to ensure the legislative body can continue its scheduled operations, including the ordinary session set for September 17.
