Mexico City family reports extortion attempt involving alleged human heart
A family in the Azcapotzalco borough of Mexico City reported an extortion attempt involving a package containing what is allegedly a human heart and a threatening letter. The perpetrators demanded a payment of 500,000 pesos, claiming the debt belonged to the recipient's deceased father.
The message, addressed to a woman named Ivonne who operates a local business, included threats against her husband, son-in-law, and their extended family. The extortionists threatened to destroy the family business and noted the family's lack of support networks to facilitate further aggression. The Mexico City Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the incident, though official confirmation regarding the nature of the organ has not yet been released.
