Mexico City hosts 23rd International Cabaret Festival
The 23rd International Cabaret Festival is taking place in Mexico City, featuring more than 17 activities including theater, clowning, circus, variety, and performance. The event, which runs through October 3, 2026, is supported by the federal Secretariat of Culture through the Profest program.
The festival includes talent from Denmark, Spain, Brazil, and Argentina. It aims to use political satire and social critique to foster dialogue regarding complex social issues, with an emphasis on feminist, inclusive, and human rights perspectives. The programming also focuses on decentralization to reach audiences outside of traditional theatrical circuits.
