Mexico City hosts free Mesoamerican ballgame exhibitions

The Secretariat of Culture and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) announced a series of free exhibitions showcasing the ancient Mesoamerican ballgame. The events, part of the Mundial Social program, will take place at several archaeological sites in Mexico City and the State of Mexico during June and July.

Scheduled performances include the National Museum of the Viceroyalty in Tepotzotlán on June 28 and July 26 at 14:00, the Cuicuilco archaeological zone on June 11 (10:30), June 21 (11:00 and 15:00), and a single show at Tlatelolco on July 29 at 18:20. The exhibitions aim to promote historical heritage and attract diverse audiences to historic spaces through the ancient ritual sport.
