Mexico City hosts various musical tributes to The Beatles
Mexico City will host several musical tributes to The Beatles through mid-August. At the Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART), the Liverpool Ensamble will perform ‘Sinfonía para cuatro de Liverpool’ at the Auditorio Blas Galindo on Friday, August 14. Directed by Alberto Eduardo Franco, the symphonic performance features 13 pieces with jazz influences, including classics such as ‘All You Need Is Love’ and ‘Penny Lane’.
Additionally, the ‘Raíces Vivas’ festival will take place in Santa María Nonoalco on August 15 and 16. This community celebration marks the neighborhood's official integration into the System of Registration and Documentation of Original Peoples and Barrios of Mexico City. The free event features a diverse lineup, including a Beatles tribute, hip-hop, reggae, and folk dance.
