Mexico City house fire kills 14 dogs

A house in the Nueva Atzacoalco neighborhood of the Gustavo A. Madero borough in Mexico City was destroyed by a fire between September 15 and 16. The blaze was allegedly caused by a pyrotechnic device that entered the property and ignited flammable materials during Independence Day celebrations.

The fire resulted in the deaths of 14 dogs, though firefighters were able to rescue one dog unharmed. While the first level of the residence was completely consumed by flames, no human injuries were reported as the occupants were not inside the home at the time of the incident.
