Mexico City International Airport suspends flights due to storms
Mexico City International Airport (AICM) temporarily suspended takeoffs and landings on Friday afternoon due to severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms and heavy rain.
The airport administration conducted inspections of runways and taxiways to ensure safety before resuming operations. Estimates indicated that flight activities would resume around 20:00 hours on runway 05 left-23 right, and approximately 21:00 hours on runway 05 right-23 left.
Passengers were advised to contact their respective airlines directly to check flight statuses, as schedules were subject to modifications based on evolving meteorological conditions.
