Mexico City launches second phase of integrity evaluations for verification staff

The Instituto de Verificación Administrativa (INVEA) of Mexico City will begin the second stage of its control and trust evaluations in August. The process targets specialized personnel who conduct verification visits to commercial establishments, construction sites and transport units. A first phase carried out in October‑November evaluated 242 verifiers, leading to the dismissal of 53 public servants who failed to meet probity requirements. To fill the resulting vacancies, two public calls have been issued during the current administration.

The government, headed by Head of Government Clara Brugada Molina, says the evaluations – which include social‑environment, asset, psychological, medical, toxicological and polygraph tests – are intended to strengthen institutional credibility, prevent corruption and assure the public that verification activities are performed with strict legal compliance.
