Mexico City launches training program for dignified work and safety

In Mexico City, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (STyFE) has introduced a Modular Training Program for the Promotion of Dignified Work. Presented by Inés González Nicolás during a session of the Consultative Commission for Occupational Safety and Health (COCOSST), the program aims to provide workers, unions, and companies with tools to improve safety, health, and regulatory compliance in the workplace.

The initiative focuses on identifying and preventing risks to worker integrity, with specific emphasis on psychosocial hazards such as occupational stress, harassment, and the impact of extended workdays. Additionally, officials highlighted the need to address the unique challenges faced by digital platform workers, including exposure to weather elements and limited access to basic services while working in public spaces.
